What We Believe
e-mail me

The first step of faith is simply believing God loves you.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)

The second step of faith is agreement with God that we are a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." (1 John 1:8)

The third step of faith we take is to discover that Jesus Christ is my own personal Saviour in taking the punishment for my sins.
"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" (1 Peter 3:18)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

Our fourth step of faith is to actually receive Jesus as my own personal Lord and Saviour.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"  (John 1:12)
"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." (Acts 16:31)
Does this prayer of faith express your honest desire right now toward Jesus?

"Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that you died for me. I now receive you into my heart as my Saviour and my Lord. I give you myself. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen."

If this is your desire, pray it with me right now and Jesus will save you.
Having prayed and received Jesus by faith and not depending upon feeling, I can tell you on the authority of the Word of God, that you are saved right now and for all of eternity.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." (John 10:28)
You may ask, what happens when we sin?
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
Our eternal salvation depends upon what Christ has done for us, not on what we do or don't do.

Your fifth step of faith is very exciting. It is you puplicly telling other that you made a commitment to Christ.
Jesus said,"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in  heaven." (Matthew 10:32-33)
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
We have discovered one of the best ways to take care of this step is on Sunday morning at our church fellowship. Our Pastor will give you an opportunity to tell fellow believers of your wonderful and exciting commitment to Christ. I will be there with you along with our many friends this Sunday. Will you promise God right now that you will take this step of faith this Sunday? That is wonderful!!! With your permission, I'll come by and bring you with me and introduce you to Pastor Ingram and many other fine believers in Jesus. Our fellowship of believers is the Messiah Baptist Church.

If you just trusted Jesus as your Saviour, please go to our "Contact Us" page and let us know. Also if you need a ride to church and live in the Denver Metro area, let us know and we will come and pick you up for church for free.
